Gotu Kola

Traditional Use: Historically, gotu kola has also been used to treat syphilis, hepatitis, stomach ulcers, mental fatigue, epilepsy, diarrhea, fever, and asthma.

Common Use: Today, in the U.S. and Europe gotu kola is most often used to treat varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where blood pools in the legs.

Dispensing: Gotu kola extract has most often been used by adults in doses of 60-450 mg by mouth daily for 4-12 months. It’s also used in creams, gels, and ointments. Speak with a healthcare provider to find out what type of product and dose might be best for a specific condition.
