Description
Traditional Use: Comfrey root has been used as a traditional medicinal plant for the treatment of painful muscle and joint complaints for centuries. Native in Europe, the plant has an impressive record of medicinal use. It also naturalized in Northern America, where it rapidly spread.
Common Use: It is also used as a gargle for gum disease and sore throat. Comfrey is applied to the skin for ulcers, wounds, muscle soreness, bruises, rheumatoid arthritis, varicose veins, gout, and fractures.
Dispensing: Historically daily doses of leaf ranged from 5 to 30 g
