Description

Olive Leaf

Traditional Use: Historically, medicinal use of olive leaf has been for treatment of fevers and for the topical treatment of wounds or infection. As a poultice, it was also used by herbalists to treat skin rashes and boils.

Common Use: Preliminary studies suggest that olive leaf extract may have several health benefits. These include lowering blood pressure, improving cholesterol levels, and reducing the risk of weight gain and type 2 diabetes.

Dispensing: The standard dose ranges between 500 milligrams (mg) and 1,000 mg daily. Most supplement labels recommend splitting the dose. That gives you between 250 mg and 500 mg. It should be taken two to four times a day with food.
